I needed a car quickly as I work in community health services and mine had finally given up! Ian Shammon’s had been recommended to myself and my other half by a friend. They more than lived up to the recommendation! Steve and all of the staff at this family run business were friendly and professional and did not put any pressure on us. It truly felt like Steve wanted to find the right car for us and not just make a sale. I had in mind a Panda (as I’d gotten a good life out of my previous one),however Steve recommended a Hyundai i10 and it has been absolutely perfect. Steve also found us the best deal he could to finance the car. He got it ready for us very speedily and made the whole process so easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to go again. Thanks Ian Shammon’s!

I recently bought a Citeron C1 from Ian Shammon and I am so glad I came to him. This is my first car and not knowing a lot Ian was able to answer all my questions. There were several vehicles he offered that I was interested in. Being new in the area I looked for a local dealer with a good reputation, Ian was both. We discussed my needs, desires and budget and he was able to provide me with all the advice I needed. The car was very reasonably priced and had a fantastic mileage. He even threw in an MOT in and dealt with the advisories at no extra cost. I would highly recommend Ian to anyone in the market for a car. I am very pleased with my car and the service I received.

Car out of warranty but I went up to the showroom this morning because I couldn’t reset the tyre pressure warning light after inflating tyres. Explained the problem and the lovely staff there checked the pressure then showed me how to reset the warning lights, no hassle, no charge just lovey and perfect customer service.

CHOICE Stumbled across this garage when looking for a small, economical city car. Decided on a Toyota Aygo before arriving but the choice was exceptional. They had Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107, Fiat 500, Suzuki Swift, + Vauxhall Corsa amongst others. BUYING EXPERIENCE The experience whilst we were searching was very pleasant. Where some garages can be pushy or ever-present, Ian Shammons team offered help of required and left us to it. When we had questions and wanted a test drive they obliged immediately. When it came to negotiation they were fair and pleasant. The price agreed included a service, MOT and tax. AFTERCARE Upon arriving to collect the car, it had been washed, serviced, MOT’d and taxed as agreed. Additionally they had fitted brand new mats after a light hearted remark and replaced the front two tyres as they had a minor recommendation on the MOT. They did unfortunately record my wife as Miss not Mrs on the VC50.

A fantastic service from start to finish. When I went to view some cars the staff were friendly and most importantly not pushy. The were able to accommodate a test drive there and then with no booking required. before i picked the car up they gave it a full service and put 1 years mot on the car even through it still had 6 months to run. They give a professional service with the added benefit of a local family business, I could not recommend them highly enough.

I can’t rate this company highly enough. I turned up without an appointment, hoping to look at a vehicle I’d seen on their website, and I was greeted very warmly by Ian himself (looking after things while Steve was away) then treated to a test drive in the car as well as a thorough demonstration. Ian also offered to buy my old banger, meaning I could drive myself to collect the new car on the day. When I arrived to collect it, Steve greeted me in a similarly friendly fashion and produced the car, all clean and shiny and serviced, with a 3 month guarantee. He took the trouble to show me how to operate all the controls – and even asked me which radio stations I preferred, so he could set them all up for me. All the paperwork was completed on both occasions, with speed and efficiency – and the new car is a dream to drive!

We’ve bought a 2004 Focus, 2010 TDCi Fiesta, 2011 Yaris and more previously from here. One of a select few garages in Lincoln that you can trust unreservedly. Had the old focus bonnet lock problem about half a year after I’d bought it. Got the mechanic to investigate, also topped up my levels and had a quick look around (all way out of any warranty). Prices for trade in were £1000’s above a certain national car dealer too. Great chap to talk to.

My wife and I purchased a used car here about 6 months ago now, it is perfect, exactly as I was told it would be. I noticed a tear in one of the front tyres, both were changed with new ones on arrival to collect. Staff were helpful, not pushy and keep decent stock. Well worth considering if you are near Lincoln and need a new motor, I will certainly have a look at what they have next time I am buying a car.

My Mother recently sold her car to Stephen Shannon after her eyesight was failing.She has previously had vehicles from them before when dealing with Ian.The service from Stephen as from his father previously was first class.This is a local family business established for many years, offering a first class service.My mother got a very fair price on her low mileage Nissan.A price that allowed both parties to be happy and walk away.We live in a society now where so much is price driven.People want to pay as little as possible for something when buying and expect top dollar when selling.A car dealer has to make a margin and only source clean quality cars for it’s customers.So it can offer warranties etc and peace of mind to its customers. Ian Shammon’s also factors in unbeatable customer service.Open, honest caring and approachable, these qualities are not reflected in all car sales businesses.
That’s why I have no hesitation in recommending them, and also why my mother will be using them again, if she gets the go ahead to drive as she’s hoping to.

From first to last I was overwhelmingly impressed by Ian’s approach. He could not have been more helpful, completely honest and fair. I purchased a second hand car over the phone as I live in London. Ian told me exactly what the position of the car was and serviced it fully before delivery. In addition he replaced two tyres which he said needed replacing. I would definitely use his garage again and have recommended it to my friends in London.
